Dicopeg Junior – Macrogol 3350 Osmotic Laxative Sachets for Children

Dicopeg Junior by Dicofarm is a medical device in powder sachet form, containing Macrogol 3350 (5g per sachet) — the same active ingredient as Movicol and Laxido. It works through osmotic action to naturally regulate intestinal function in babies and children, softening stools and facilitating easy, pain-free defecation. Not absorbed by the body, does not ferment in the intestine, and its effectiveness does not decrease with prolonged use.

How It Works

Macrogol 3350 is a hydrophilic (water-attracting) polymer that retains water within the stool, softening it and making it easier to pass. It acts purely through osmotic effect — it is not absorbed into the bloodstream, does not irritate the intestinal mucosa, and is excreted unchanged in the faeces. Unlike stimulant laxatives, Macrogol does not cause cramping, abdominal pain, or sudden urgency.

Ingredients Per Sachet

• Macrogol 3350: 5g
• Excipients: Silicon dioxide, flavouring, sodium saccharin

How to Use

Dissolve 1 sachet (5g) in approximately 62.5ml of water or other liquid (tea, milk, herbal infusion, broth, or fruit juice). The daily dose can be taken in several administrations. You can dissolve the full daily dose in liquid and store in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

• From 6 months to 2 years (up to 12kg): 1–2 sachets per day
• From 2 to 11 years (12–20kg): 2–4 sachets per day
• Over 11 years (or over 20kg): 2–6 sachets per day

Always start at the lower end of the range and adjust as needed. Consult a doctor for dosing in children under 2 years.

Important Information

Do not use in children under 6 months. Do not use in cases of intestinal obstruction or perforation, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, or acute colonic distension. Allow at least 2 hours between Dicopeg and any oral medications. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If no improvement after 7 days, consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children.
