Oral suspension with antidiarrhoeal effect, is a drinking suspension for adults and children over 8 years of age supporting the regeneration of the gastrointestinal tract.

Composition:

Diosmectite, cocoa-caramel flavour (mixture of natural and synthetic flavours, caramel dye E150d, caramelised sugar syrup, propylene glycol E1520, water, ethanol, caffeine), xanthan gum, citric acid monohydrate, ascorbic acid, potassium sorbate, sucralose, purified water.

Indications and action:

The SmectaGo medical device is a ready-to-drink oral suspension intended for adults and children over 8 years of age.

The diosmetic contained in the composition binds toxic substances and microorganisms, facilitates their elimination from the body and shields and supports the regeneration of the digestive tract.

The product is indicated for use in the case of acute diarrhoea in children over 8 years of age and adults and during chronic diarrhoea occurring in adults.

Contraindications:

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the product.

You should stop continuing therapy and contact your doctor if the symptoms do not go away or worsen after the recommended time of use, as well as if there are frequent recurrences of diarrhoea or when the slowing occurs alternately with constipation.

Particular caution should be exercised when administering the product to patients with a history of severe constipation.

Do not use after the expiry date.

If diarrhoea is accompanied by fever, chills, repeated vomiting, sudden weight loss, or symptoms of dehydration (feeling of heavy thirst, dry tongue, fatigue, chronic lack of appetite), stool contains blood or mucus, diarrhoea occurs during or after antibiotic therapy, you have immunodeficiencies or have recently returned from a trip to tropical countries, contact your doctor.

SmectaGo contains small amounts (less than 100mg per daily dose) of ethanol.

Keep out of the reach of children.

The most common adverse reaction is constipation, less commonly reported itching, rash, urticaria, angioedema (swelling of the skin, lips, throat and tongue).

Do not use at the same time as other oral medicines, keep a minimum of 2 hours break.

Patients taking immunosuppressive drugs or being treated for a tumour should consult a doctor before use.

SmectaGo is only a complementary treatment for irrigation.

For children with acute diarrhoea, the product should be administered in combination with an oral irrigation fluid.

It is recommended that pregnant and breastfeeding women consult a doctor before using the product.

The product is intended for children over 8 years of age.

Do not give SmectaGo to children with chronic diarrhoea or abdominal pain.

Dosage and method of use:

Use orally, the product is ready to drink.

In the case of acute diarrhoea, the recommended dose for children aged 8-15 years is initially 2 sachets, then 1 sachet after each free stool, but not more than 4 sachets per day. For adolescents over 15 years of age and adults, it is recommended to use 2 sachets at first, then 1 sachet after each free stool, but not more than 6 sachets per day. The duration of therapy should not exceed 3 days.

In the case of chronic diarrhoea, it is recommended that adults take 3 sachets per day - in the morning, at noon and in the evening, depending on the need. Use no longer than 2 weeks
