Chlorchinaldin VP - for use in bacterial and fungal infections of the throat, mouth and gums.
Composition:
The active substance is: chloroquinaldol ( Chlorquinaldolum ).
1 tablet contains 2 mg of chloroquinaldol.
Excipients: citric acid monohydrate, sucrose, carmellose sodium, talc, magnesium stearate.
Indications and action:
- Chlorchinaldin VP is a medicinal product for topical use in infections of the mouth, gums, throat and thrush.
- Chlorchinaldin has antibacterial, antifungal and antiprotozoal properties.
Dosage:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- Medicine for use in the oral cavity.
- Do not use more than 10 tablets a day.
- The tablets should not be chewed.
- Do not use the medicine for a long period of time.
Suck 1 tablet every 1-2 hours.
Contraindications:
When not to use Chlorchinaldin:
- if you are allergic to chlorquinaldol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using the medicine.
Interactions:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Chlorchinaldin may interact with:
- metal compounds, iodine compounds (may weaken the effect of Chlorchinaldin).
Do not use the medicine during meals.
Side effects:
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Frequency unknown:
- irritation of the mucous membrane,
- allergic symptoms,
- itching,
- rash or hives in hypersensitive people.
Warnings and precautions:
The medicine contains sucrose - do not use it without consulting your doctor if you have intolerance to some sugars. If symptoms persist or worsen for several days, consult a doctor. Chlorchinaldin is also used as an adjunct in the case of bacterial infections requiring the use of oral antibiotics. Store at temperatures below 25°C. Store in the original package in order to protect from light and moisture. Keep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
