Brodacid Plyn na skore - 8g

Brodacid is a liquid applied to the skin for the treatment of common warts, periungual warts, foot warts and mosaic warts.

Composition:

The active substances of Brodacid are lactic acid and salicylic acid.
1 g of liquid for the skin contains 50.4 mg of lactic acid, in the form of a 90% solution of lactic acid and 100 mg of salicylic acid.  

Excipients: - nitrocellulose (2:1) + ethyl acetate, dimethyl sulfoxide.

Indications and action:

Salicylic acid has a keratolytic effect, softens and loosens calloused epidermis, making it easier to exfoliate. Lactic acid is a corrosive agent that destroys the keratinized layer of the skin. The excipient of the drug - dimethyl sulfoxide increases the penetration of active ingredients into the tissue. 

Dosage:

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Lubricate the clean and dry surface of the wart with the medicine using the applicator. After unscrewing the cap and removing the applicator, wait a moment until the excess liquid flows into the bottle, and then apply only the surface of the nipple, taking care not to get the liquid on healthy skin, mucous membranes or eyes. After lubricating the wart, wait a while until the liquid dries into a white film. Use twice a day on clean and dry skin.

Lubricate only the surface of the wart, depending on the treatment result, for several days, up to a maximum of 6-8 weeks.  

Contraindications:

When not to use Brodacid:

• if you are allergic to the active substances - lactic acid or salicylic acid, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
• in the treatment of flat warts and lesions located around the eyes, on mucous membranes and on the face,
• for hairy and non-hairy birthmarks,
• on infected or inflamed skin,
• during pregnancy and breastfeeding,
• in children under 2 years of age.

Interactions:

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines. 

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.  

Side effects:

Like all medicines, Brodacid can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. 
Burning and erosions may occur in the surrounding skin, leaving temporary discoloration.
If you experience extensive redness in the surrounding skin or other side effects, stop using the medicine and contact your doctor.

Warnings and precautions:

The medicine should only be applied to the warts. The medicinal drug should not be used on intact, healthy skin or on damaged skin because salicylic acid is absorbed through the skin and systemic side effects of salicylic acid may occur. If the medicine covers the healthy skin surrounding the wart, wash it immediately with water.
